After teaching 32 years, mostly in Middle School & High School, I have officially retired, but am teaching 3 days a week at the nearby campus of UNO (Univ. of Nebraska Omaha) We live only 5 minutes from campus, and I spend my days off antiquing and putting up Ebay auctions. I used to sing in the Opera Omaha chorus, but have not done so in the past year. I am singing in my church choir and am now playing in the bell choir! I attend Norwegian conferences in the summer, and am also a vendor for them.
Weddings are our current pre-occupation: Tom in June, 2011; Erika in August, 2012 and Andrea in March, 2013 !
As of May, 2013, I am a grandma - Cora Elizabeth Mullen & in August Leela Kim. Will work on getting a picture with both of them!
School Story:

Lots of memories of the 4 years at Augustana Academy - Choir tours, trying to read "Gone with the Wind" on the tour bus; Math classes (not my forte!) Geometry with Mr. Stene, English our freshman year with Boyum, and of course German with Mrs. Stene. Editing the Saga with Jan (Ulrickson) Thielman and being Social Chair and planning Homecoming for our Senior Year!
Most certainly these were years that shaped me and I shall always be thankful for that.

A VERY Happy Birthday dear friend. Hope you have a wonderful day full of lots of love and blessings with many more to come. I often think of a all the great times we've had together while attending the Academy. Seems like just yesterday and I don't know where the time has gone. Looking forward to the 2019 reunion.
