Sandy Stavnes

It is with great sadness that we must announce that Sandy Stavnes died from complications of cancer on March 14, 2011. May she rest in peace.

I remember my surprise the first time meeting our house mother (Mrs. Fabian?) and her daughter, who came from Australia. I couldn't understand a word she said even though she spoke English. That was new for me straight off the farm.

It was a wonderful two years of my life and I have many charished memories.
