After teaching 32 years, mostly in Middle School & High School, I have officially retired, but am teaching 3 days a week at the nearby campus of UNO (Univ. of Nebraska Omaha) We live only 5 minutes from campus, and I spend my days off antiquing and putting up Ebay auctions. I still sing in the Opera Omaha chorus. |

Lots of memories of the 4 years at Augustana Academy - Choir tours, trying to read "Gone with the Wind" on the tour bus; Math classes (not my forte!) with Mr. Stene, English our freshman year with Boyum, and of course German with Mrs. Stene. Editing the Saga with Jan (Ulrickson) Thielman and being Social Chair and planning Homecoming for our Senior Year!
No doubt these were years that shaped me and I shall always be thankful for that. |
